david created this "online poem" back in 1997 for fun; to see how far one could stretch the then embryonic web-page technology—which was none—for expressiveness.
Forbidden Colours was written by Ryuichi Sakamoto and David Sylvian for the soundtrack of the movie Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence which has since become a cult-classic for some reason. As Broadway Cinematique is going to show the movie again in December, thought I might as well revive the piece with a soundtrack. |

Last Friday, me friend Anne told me that she enjoyed the stuff I posted into the net during those years, and I shouldn't just let them all be lost to time. So david went digging. This is the only piece extant.
